hallway : before and afters : the reveal

What we did:
-Tore up carpet, put down underlayment and installed hardwood
-Painted walls with Glidden “Gallery White”
-Installed new baseboards
-Skimmed popcorn ceiling to make a smooth flat ceiling, painted ceiling white
-Replaced light fixtures
-Replaced 2 light switches
-Painted built in cabinets, replaced hinges and handles
-Replaced door trim to hallway entrance
-Replaced yellow tinted glass for a clear window and cleaned aluminum -Hung framed photos

    Very, very nice! I love the simplicity of white walls and how it really lets the wood floors pop.

      Thanks Lauren! It took us one full weekend to finish the cabinets, and then the following weekend we laid the floor. The floor took a lot quicker than we thought it would, and since the hallway is so narrow compared to a larger room, a lot of the time was spent cutting, measuring each row and picking out the right pieces.
