Master Bedroom : the semi-final reveal

We are not completely done with this room, but I think it has come a long way since October and deserved a viewing. When we moved in- we slept in the “rumpus room” for a little over two months till the front guest bedroom was ready enough for us to move our mattress into. And now we are finally living in this room and it slowly is coming together. It has come a long long way from what it was when we moved in…and feels really nice to finally be able to sleep in here.

Because we had the guest bedroom to sleep in, it was nice to not have to rush to get this room done.

We chose the same flooring we had laid in the hallway and continued it into the master up to the closets. Cedar flooring went into the insides of the closets.

I actually had a lot of trouble getting inspired to decorate this room. Nothing was coming to mind, but when I found this yellow geometric patterned rug at IKEA, everything else seemed to come into place. Still need to hang the mirror, but the hanging wire is not in the right place, so this is another project. Yes, I know the mirror is not straight in the picture. Sorry, I am too lazy to retake the photo.
